The intricate embroidery adds a bit of interest to this otherwise plain tunic dress.I added a belt to give it some shape but love the fact that its so shape shifting. Next time I'm going to attempt wearing it without the belt and with some skinny jeans instead.

In the Mountains

This weekend was amazingly nice so we decided to drive up to Banff one day and just walk around. We spent the entire day lounging, soaking up some sun and reading outdoors!! I needed a coverup to go with my outfit for those cloudy moments and this denim shirt paired with some black booties completed my casual outfit.

This past weekend was full of shopping, dining and catching up with friends.  Knowing I was going to be walking up and down 17th Ave enjoying the sunshine, I decided I needed to wear these comfy sling backs. They may not look like it but they totally are!  I paired them with a pretty blouse that I recently picked up on a trip, my friends and I fell in love with the print and all ended up getting one.

I spent some time last summer looking for some structured trousers that hit right at the ankle.  After searching all over I ended up finding these at H&M in New York. I love the length because it turns a masculine cut into something feminine by allowing your shoes to be seen.  As for the colour, I love that it adds a bit of flair while not looking too "springish" on a windy day.

These high waisted leggings have been getting a lot of wear lately, they are so warm, comfortable and easy to throw together with a simple top when in a rush.  This blouse has been hanging in the closet for over a year with the tag still on, now that I've worn it I have no idea why! The vibrant colour is perfect for spring!!!!

Clean Cut

A pop of colour always brightens up my mood on a dreary day. I got these shoes recently from Urban Outfitters and they are so cute but it was so windy out that I wasn't able to take any more pictures so I'll be sure to show them properly in an upcoming post. This blazer is one of my all time favourites. I love the fit and cut of it. 

Chanel - Maang Tikka

 "Most of the inspiration is from Indian men's clothes rather than women's clothes. They're easier to wear.  Its the Paris version of the idea of india" explained Karl Lagerfeld on the Chanel Paris-Bombay collection for Pre-Fall 2012. The show was so over the top, glitz and glamour that I had to share a few images with everyone.  The clothes were a perfect blend of the two cities mixed together. I fell in love with practically every single piece which was a mixture of tweed, high collars and maharaja style.
